    Beaton's Croft House is an 'A'-listed traditional thatched house in the crofting township of Bornesketaig at the north end of Skye.  It has superb views across the Minch to Isles of Harris, Lewis and North Uist.  Uig is approximately 5 miles away and Portree 21 miles.  The cottage has been reconstructed internally to provide simple accommodation, maintaining the original atmosphere of life in a thatched cottage, but with modern amenities.

    Sleeps 2.  One twin bedroom, sitting room with wood-burning stove, a small kitchen and shower room with WC.

    Parking is available at the rear of the cottage.

    The cottage lies in the crofting township of Bornesketaig in the north of Skye and is approached by taking the A855 north of Uig. Bornesketaig is approximately 6 miles north of Uig. 

    Public Transport Directions

    There is a daily CityLink coach service running From Glasgow all the way up to Uig.

    Rapsons operate a good circular bus service from Uig to Portree, as well as services (around six a day) round the north end of Skye. You can catch the bus at the Borneskitaig road end. See www.rapsons.co.uk for timetable information.

    Nearest train stations are either Kyle of Lochalsh or Mallaig, both on the mainland.
