You can enjoy rambles on both the Cheviot and the Eildon Hills. Fishing on lochs and rivers can be arranged. Floors Castle and the Border abbeys are all easily visited as is the charming towns of Kelso and Melrose. A short drive takes the visitor to the historic town of Berwick-upon-Tweed, with its Elizabethan fortified walls. Holy island and Alnwick Castle make an excellent day out.
Return in the evening to your cosy cottage and its fully equipped kitchen or visit the village pub for a bar meal and real ale. The CAMRA regional Pub of the Year 2011 can be found in the next village to Morebattle (Kirk Yetholm) and has excellent food.
On arrival you will find a Welcome basket of Border Specialities such as hand made chocolate, local honey, home made jam, biscuits and free range eggs.
