Charming Cottage located in the conservation village of Morebattle, seven miles from the historic abbey town of Kelso.Idealfor walkers as St Cuthberts Way passes the door and  the end of the Pennine Way footpath finishes in the next village of Yetholm. . Fitted out to a high standard with flat screen TV in both lounge and bedroom with Blueray DVD/CD player. An interesting spiral staircase leads up to a spacious bathroom and shower and an airy double bedroom. Small courtyard to the rear with garden furniture and BBQ . Price included all heating, organic linen and towels and a welcome basket of Border Specialities to eat on holiday or take home. Close to the village pub which serves food, and a useful village shop. There is a good bus service to Kelso and other towns. Benfield Cottage is one of a three self catering properties owned by Border Holiday Homes, located in Berwick upon Tweed, Paxton and here in the conservation village of Morebattle . All fully equipped to four star standard for two people in which to relax and enjoy a wonderful location. Benfield in Morebattle is stylishly equipped with high quality furnishings and equipment. Fully double glazed and centrally heated it is ideal for out of season breaks. Its location, on two long distance footpaths, makes it suitable for walkers, birdwatchers and lovers of the countryside. You can enjoy rambles on both the Cheviot and the Eildon Hills. Fishing on lochs and rivers can be arranged. Floors Castle and the Border abbeys are all easily visited as is the charming towns of Kelso and Melrose. A short drive takes the visitor to the historic town of Berwick-upon-Tweed, with its Elizabethan fortified walls. Holy island and Alnwick Castle make an excellent day out.

Return in the evening to your cosy cottage and its fully equipped kitchen or visit the village pub for a bar meal and real ale. The CAMRA regional Pub of the Year 2011 can be found in the next village to Morebattle (Kirk Yetholm) and has excellent food.

On arrival you will find a Welcome basket of Border Specialities such as hand made chocolate, local honey, home made jam, biscuits and free range eggs. Tea, ground coffee, sugar, milk and cleaning items are also provided. Come away to a wonderful area and a delightful cottage. Ring now or book on line for availability. The spiral staircase may make this cottage unsuitable for the less mobile but ring and enquire about our apartment overlooking the Tweed which is on one level and has lift access.
