Public Transport Directions

From the nearest information centre:- Turn left and follow this road through town leaving Stornoway heading north. At the Co-op roundabout take the A857 towards Barvas ( Barabhas) sign posted Port of Ness. Travel 10 miles over the moor and upon entering Barvas take the first left past the filling station on to the A858, after approx. ½ mile turn right at the bus shelter at the top of the hill, into Brue. Continue along the village road. "Beul na Mara" is the last property on the left before the sea.
By Bus: turn right outside Tourist Information Centre and head towards the Bus Station near the main harbour. Take Bus Number W2 West Side Circular (anti-clockwise if on a Saturday). The driver will know where to set you down.

Getting there by aeroplane:- Upon leaving the airport continue over a small roundabout then turn right at the T junction joining the A866 into Stornoway, Follow the A857 road through town. Leave Stornoway at the Co-op roundabout taking the A857 towards Barvas (Barabhas) sign posted Port of Ness.
Travel 10 miles over the moor and upon entering Barvas take the first left past the filling station on to the A858. After approx. ½ mile turn right at the bus shelter at the top of the hill into Brue. Continue along the village road.
"Beul na Mara" is the last property on the left before the sea.

Getting there by ferry:- Turn left at ferry exit, follow A857 Port of Ness (Nis)
Leave Stornoway at the Co-op roundabout taking the A857 towards Barvas ( Barabhas) sign posted Port of Ness.
Travel 10 miles over the moor and upon entering Barvas take the first left past the filling station on to the A858. After approx. ½ mile turn right at the bus shelter on the top of the hill into Brue. Continue along the village road.
"Beul na Mara" is the last property on the left before the sea.
