Blackaddie House Hotel

Standing amongst 2 acres of secluded gardens, the Blackaddie House Hotel offers the perfect combination of comfortable accommodation, great food and friendly service in a relaxed and beautiful setting.

This family-run hotel combines high standards of customer service with a friendly informality to ensure you truly feel at home during your stay here on the outskirts of the village of Sanquhar. With spectacular views out over the River Nith, the hotel is a great choice for a family holiday, romantic break or even a wedding. It's also ideal for enjoying the great outdoors with pony trekking, walking, cycling, fishing, golf and canoeing all available nearby.

There are nine distinctive en suite bedrooms within the hotel, and three river suites within the grounds where you can enjoy a relaxing self-catering break. You'll discover complimentary Scottish shortbread and tablet in your rooms, along with tea and coffee facilities, and the hotel also offers free Wi-Fi.

Make sure you visit the award-winning restaurant for dinner to sample some of the best local produce Dumfries & Galloway has to offer on a brilliant menu, which changes daily. There is even a cookery school where you can learn to turn the local produce into award-winning meals under the tuition of a Michelin-starred chef.

Take a stroll to the bottom of the hotel's garden and you'll find the River Nith where you can watch the fishermen or even have a go yourself, while canoeing is also available so you can take a slow paddle as you admire the scenery. Children will love a trip to the nearby swimming pool where adults can relax in the spa and steam room. Remember to bring your golf clubs and you'll be able to take advantage of the local golf course, situated just 300 m from the hotel.
