On the Blairquhan Estate there are eight delightful holiday cottages which are available all the year round. There are no rules about where you can go on the estate. You can walk and picnic where you wish. There is a fascinating tree trail to follow, a sheltered walled garden with glass house to stroll round, ducks on the garden pond to admire, fishing by arrangement on the River Girvan and estate lochs and tours of the Castle.
The local village of Straiton, just one mile away, is considered by some to be the prettiest village in Ayrshire and has a village shop and an hotel serving meals, popular with visitors and locals alike.
The cottages are available for short breaks of 3 nights or more - pay only 70% of normal price.
Linen, towels, electricity, oil-fired central heating and VAT are included in the rent. No open fire.
Sorry no pets. No smoking allowed.
Blairquhan is surrounded by a country estate in the beautiful wooded valley of the Water of Girvan. Our guests can enjoy walks and picnics anywhere on the 2,000 acre estate or fish in the river & lochs. Ayrshire is a world centre for golf. Local places of interest include Crossraguel Abbey. 20 min away, perched on a rock above the sea, is Culzean Castle, the flagship property of the National Trust of Scotland.
