Overview

Beautifully situated, mid-way along the south-east shore of lovely Loch Awe, on the B840, amidst some of the finest scenery in Argyll, Blarghour offers a choice of high quality accommodation, carefully managed, in situations of great beauty, which afford peace, privacy and seclusion while being centrally situated for touring.

Barr-beithe Upper - This delightful cottage, which sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms, is set in a mature garden of heathers and azaleas and enjoys superb views across Loch Awe from its lovely conservatory.

Barr-beithe Lower - Sleeping 5 in 3 bedrooms, this lovely cottage is situated close to the water. Enjoying wide sweeping views of Loch Awe, guests can appreciate the ever-changing beauty of the loch from its spacious sunroom.

Stable - Sleeping 4 in 2 bedrooms, Stable affords an exceptional vista over Loch Awe from three full-length windows which open onto a terrace. The elegant lounge/diner is lit by seven full-length windows and features a handsome spiral staircase. Unsuitable for children under five years.

Barn - Barn, specially designed to provide good quality accommodation for 2 people with open plan living area on the first floor.

There is ample parking by each cottage.

Things to See and Do
Blarghour is a hill farm of 2,000 acres on which unrestricted walking may be enjoyed. Fishing on Loch Awe is by permit only and permits are available at the Farm. The surrounding countryside provides river fishing, climbing and hill-walking. Within easy reach during a days motoring are: Glencoe, Fort William and Ben Nevis, Loch Lomond, the Trossachs, Dunoon and Loch Eck, Oban, Crinan and the Isles of Mull, Iona, Islay, Gigha and Arran, while more locally one may visit Inveraray Castle, and an 18th Century jail. Cruachan Power Station and scenic Glan Orchy also merit a visit.
