Boll Holiday Cottages is situated in the hillfoots village of Alva, 5 miles from the city of Stirling.
We are ideally located for both country and city pursuits. We live at the foot of the Ochil Hills where there is plenty of hill walking available. There is rambling, golfing (there are 9 golfcourses within a 9 mile radius), fishing, cycling and even paragliding.
We are centrally located so are extremely close to all motorways and therefore to all major Scottish towns and cities. We have a railway 2 miles away and a bus stop a 5 minute walk away.
The cottages are set in 4 acres of landscaped gardens and in particular Boll Cottage has its own pond complete with resident ducks and even an occasional swan has been known to arrive.
Places of interest nearby include The Wallace Monument, Stirling Castle, Alloa Tower, Menstrie Castle, Doune Castle, Falkirk Wheel, Blairdrummond Safari Park, Tillicoultry dry ski slope, The Peak leisure centre to name but a few.
