From the nearest information centre:- From Oban Tourist Information Centre, take A85 towards Taynuilt or Dalmally or Crainlarich. After 12 miles turn left in Taynuilt opposite the Taynuilt Hotel, carry straight on for 0.75 of a mile to aleft turn signed to Bonawe Furnace. Take this and in 500 meters turn right at a church. Carry straight on for 800 meters until the road forks, take the unmade left fork which leads in 100 meters straight to Bonawe House.

Getting there by railway:- From Taynuilt station turn left and follow the road for 0.5 mile yntil a sign to Bonawe Furnace. Take this left turn up the hill, after 50 meters turn right by a church and go straight up the road past the end of the houses, 800 metres after the turning the road splits, take the unmade left hand fork which leads to Bonawe House in 100 meters.

Getting there by aeroplane:- From Glasgow Airport head north following signs for Crainlarich and Fort William on the A82. At Tyndrum turn left on the A85 towards Oban. Taynuilt is reached after 24 miles. Turn right opposite theTaynuilt Hotel following signs for Bonawe Furnace. Carry straight on until take a left turn still following signs to Bonawe Furnace, turn right after 50 meters by a church and carry straight on for800 meters. A left fork on to an unmade road leads to Bonawe House.

Getting there by ferry:- From Oban take the A85 towards Taynuilt or Dalmally or Crainlarich. After 12 miles turn left opposite Taynuilt Hotel, carry straight on for 0.75 of a mile until a left turn signed to Bonnawe Furnace,after 50 meters turn right by a church and carry straight on for 800 meters. When the road forks take the unmade lefthand fork which leads straight to Bonawe House in 100 meters.
