The Border Hotel, is the only pub in Kirk Yetholm, located on the village green. Open all day every day from 11.30 excluding Christmas day. Excellent food, real ale, large wine list, dogs allowed in the bar and we even serve tea!.
A former coaching Inn the Border Hotel is famous for being the Scottish end of the Pennine Way a 268 mile walk from Edale in Derbyshire, also located on the path of the popular St. Cuthberts way from Melrose to Holy Island. The hotel is a popular venue with locals for meals and the public bar which went through a refurbishment in 2012 has won many awards from CAMRA for the quality of its Beer. The five ensuite bedrooms are all refurbished with a traditional Scottish breakast included in the price. The hotel is the only pub in the village of Kirk Yetholm which is a conservation village nestled at the base of the Cheviot hills, steeped in history the location offers you the ideal base for touring the many historic houses & castles located in nearby Northumberland or the Scottish Border Towns. Fishing on the river Tweed , golf at the many nearby courses, mountain biking and shoping in Edinburgh only an hour away all add to the many choices you have whilst staying at the hotel. Buses come to the village every day except Sunday from Kelso and you will find the main East coast train line in Berwick upon Tweed only 40 minutes away. Airports are located under an hour away in Newcastle & Edinburgh.
