Farmhouse bed and breakfast accommodation (all en-suite) on an upland sheep farm 12 miles North of Dumfries town. Pet and Children friendly Boreland Farm is an ideal centre for a relaxing, touring or activity holiday.
Relax in the welcoming, warm and friendly atmosphere of Boreland Farm with its traditionally-built, 19th century farmhouse, set in the rolling countryside of Dumfriesshire, 12 miles North of Dumfries town. We offer a choice of family, double, twin, and single, en-suite bedrooms (all bathrooms have both bath and shower). Each of the spacious rooms have central heating, tea and coffee facilities, a colour television, a DVD player - with a selection of films available and free WiFi internet access. Well-behaved pets are welcome in the house or kenneling is available for working dogs outside.
Ample private parking is available.
Breakfast is served at a time of your choice. Full cooked Scottish breakfast with all the trimmings or one of the tasty lighter alternatives.
Set in 365 acres of rolling farmland, there is plenty to keep the whole family entertained. Cycling in the area or walk the farmland, or spend the day fishing on the River Cairn (when in season) - it runs through the farm so it's absolutely free to fish. At Boreland Farm you are also ideally located near to the historic market town of Dumfries and all its attractions. The village of Moniaive is only 5 miles away and offers a choice of eating places in the evening. If you enjoy mountain biking, the world-class 7stanes mountain biking centres, Ae Forest , Mabie Forest and Dalbeattie, are all within easy reach and many challenging golf courses can also be found nearby.
