Bracklinn House is a modern stylish B&B located in the centre of Bathgate, West Lothian, only 15 miles from Edinburgh and 10 miles from Edinburgh airport. Glasgow is 40 miles to the west with Glasgow airport a further 5 miles away.

We are located 5 minutes walk from the railway station where you will find a regular service, taking 25 minutes, into the centre of Edinburgh. The public transport service for both Edinburgh and Glasgow stops directly outside Bracklinn House so is ideal for those of you who do not wish to drive. We are ideally located for both tourists and business travellers. Glasgow and Stirling are only 30 - 40 minutes away by car and the M8/M9 motorway link is a mere 5 minute drive from Bracklinn House, ideal for touring Scotland. Bracklinn House is within 5 minutes walking distance of some of the local restaurants and bars and Beecraigs Country Park which boasts 2 of the best local restaurants serving a variety of local produce are a short 5 - 10 minute drive away. Linlithgow and Linlithgow Palace are a short 15 - 20 minute drive away. South Queensferry is approximately 20 minutes drive away; here you will find delightful restaurants and bars and a magnificent view of the Forth rail and road bridges. A warm welcome awaits you. Here you can expect to be spoiled by the excellent level of accommodation and shared guest areas on offer. As expected of a recently refurbished property, all rooms include en-suite and have been renovated to an exceptionally high standard for opening in 2009. Why not give us a visit and experience for yourself just what Bracklinn House B & B has to offer. We are sure you will not be disappointed.

We are ideally located for holiday or business with the M8 / M9 motorway links just a short 5 minute drive away. We are ideally situated for access to all of central Scotland with the main Glasgow to Edinburgh Bus Route directly on our door step with the bus stop a short 1 minute walk from the house. The Railway Station is a 5 minute walk from the house with a regular service to and from Edinburgh with plans to have a direct line to Airdrie operational by 2010 and a line directly into Glasgow opening soon after.

There are various places to eat and drink within Bathgate and all are within walking distance from the house.

Wi-fi access is available to guests travelling with a laptop computer. This service is provided free of charge.

If there is anything you require such as an iron, ironing table, sewing kit, first aid kit, please do not hesitate to ask. We want to make your stay with us as comfortable as possible - if you can't find it just ask"...".....

Due to current legislation, Bracklinn House is non-smoking. However, there is an area in the garden which has been set aside for people to enjoy a cigarette if they wish.

Linlithgow Palace: the birth place of Mary Queen of Scots which is a short 15 minute drive away.
South Queensferry: Approximately 20 minutes by car where you will have magnificent views of the Forth Road and Rail Bridges
Stirling Castle: Approximately 40 minutes drive
Edinburgh Castle: Approximately 40 minutes by car or 25 minutes by train.
Beecraig's Country Park: Where you will find various nature trails and a choice of two beautiful restaurants
Falkirk Wheel: a 20 minute drive away
McArthur Glen Shopping Outlet: This is the largest designer outlet in Scotland where you will find numerous designer shops selling goods at up to 70% off the original price.
Bathgate Golf Course: Is a short 10 minute walk from the house. There are many other golf courses nearby including Uphall, Polkemmet and Linlithgow to name a few.


Accommodation:

All rooms have a welcome tray containing tea/coffee and biscuits.

 

There is a guest sitting room which has a 42” plasma television, pool table and various books are available for guests to use at any time.

The breakfast room is adjacent to the guest sitting room.

We accept cash, cheque, travellers cheque or pay-pal.

If you wish to pay in a currency other than sterling a small charge will be made.

All of the above prices include full Scottish breakfast, tea / coffee, fruit juices, fresh fruit and cereals.
