The historical spa town of Moffat makes for a great base for exploring southern Scotland and the Scottish Borders. If you are on your way further north, the Guest House is only a five minute drive from the M74 motorway, but there is much to see and do nearby, including an excellent park, a challenging 18-hole golf course, great fishing - the nearby River Annan has excellent fishing stocks - fantastic walks and a well-equipped sports centre. For keen walkers, Moffat is close to the long-distance route, the Southern Upland Way, while there are many more opportunities, whether on foot, or touring by car, to explore the countryside and enjoy the scenery of this beautiful corner of Scotland.
