Byreburnfoot Country House

Overview

The luxury B&B has three individually decorated guest bedrooms which combine attractive period features with modern comforts. Each bedroom has a comfortable king-size bed with luxurious Egyptian cotton linen, a flat screen TV with Freeview, Wi-Fi access, a complimentary hospitality tray, and either en suite facilities or a private bathroom, equipped with fluffy towels and a range of toiletries. All of the exquisitely decorated rooms offer either a pleasant view over the gardens and surrounding countryside, or overlook the river.

Breakfast at Byreburnfoot is served in the attractive south-facing period dining room and will typically include delicious homemade jams and preserves, eggs from the estate's own hens and soft home-baked bread. Delicious evening meals are also served; the menu changes daily but always includes the freshest seasonal produce and locally sourced meat or fish. The secret to the super-fresh meals is home-grown vegetables, cultivated on organic principles and used whenever available. All meals are prepared and cooked to order and specific dietary requirements can be usually be accommodated so just mention any when booking.

The house is peacefully situated in its own pretty and tranquil garden in a woodland setting just above the Canonbie beat of the famous Esk river, and is ideally situated whether you enjoy walking, cycling or fishing, or just seek a relaxing break in comfortable surroundings. The B&B is also ideally located within easy reach of Hadrian's Wall, and the Scottish Borders.
