Woodcutters cabin a self catering holiday home set in the heart of Royal Deeside in a spectacular woodland estate of Blelack, adjacent to the Cairngorm National Park. It is located within walking distance of the village of Logie Coldstone in the Highlands of Scotland. It sits at the foot of Morven - meaning "big hill".
This makes an ideal base to explore the Cairngorms National Park and Royal Deeside. The estate is a haven for many species of wildlife and wild flowers. The surrounding area is steeped in history with many castles and sites of historic interest which are all within a short drive from the cabin. The Cabin has been finished to a high quality. It offers a double and a twin bedroom, a bathroom with walk in shower and a fully fitted kitchen. It comfortably accommodates 4 persons, 5 at a push with a camp bed in the living room.

The lounge is spacious where you can relax in comfort with a homely wood burning stove and TV. All windows are double glazed and the cabin benefits from modern insulation enabling it to be particularly cosy in winter, but yet cool in the summer.
The stove provides the hot water which in turn provides the heat to a hot water circuit which circulates through the radiators in every room.

•Full crockery and cooking utilities for 6
•Some kitchen condiments
•Fire lighters and an abundance of logs
•A charcoal BBQ
•There are also some novels and DVDs for the odd wet day. This is operated on an honesty policy which means feel free to take home the book you haven't finished, but leave the one you have already read. This is true also for the DVDs.

•You'll be pleased to hear there is no phone line so there is no need for disturbance, nor any excuse to read email, surf the internet or any other antisocial online activity.

•Its self catering, so you'll need grub and you will need nuts for the squirrels who will not entertain without reward.
What to expect:
On arrival you will be greeted by Carol. Carol will have a roaring fire on for you.
We ask you to telephone her in advance to inform her of your anticipated time of arrival.

Carol will give you keys and show you how to operate the Cabin, inclusive of the stove, and answer any of your questions.
The stove remains lit for about 6 - 8 hours without needing replenished. Dependent on your plans you might wish to discuss with Carol if she might top up the stove if you are away for long periods. If you intend spending 12 hours away skiing or on the water fishing you might be very grateful on your return for such a service. Please be aware this is entirely dependent on Carol's availability.

If you must smoke please do so on the decking outside the cabin and as you are in a forest please be extra careful with your butts.
