Kilsyth is the most northerly town in Lanarkshire, nestling in the scenic countryside at the foot of the Kilsyth Hills. It is perfectly located between, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stirling for anyone wishing to explore the local areas and beyond.
Kilsyth is an ideal location for weekend trips and longer stays with lots to see and do. The town is home to the picturesque Burngreen Park, historic Colzium House, Auchinstarry on the Forth & Clyde Canal, the Antonine Wall and it has its own Golf Club . Also there are numerous walking, cycling, and equestrian trails, angling in the many rivers, canals and lochs in the area, and canoeing and cruises on the Forth & Clyde Canal.  For the more adventurous the exciting mountain bike trails in the nearby Carron Valley or rock climbing at Auchinstarry are always an option.
For those who are particularly fond of history, Kilsyth is close to many historical sites and towns with their own rich heritage.

Only a few miles from Stirlingshire, you can enjoy a trip to Stirling Castle, one of Scotland's most popular and revered historic buildings or you might want to take in the contrasting spectacle of the Falkirk Wheel, an amazing feat of modern engineering
