    Superb self catering apartment with a fantastic outlook onto The Meadows towards Edinburgh Castle. The apartment has been tastefully decorated and furnished and provides excellent accommodation for larger parties of up to 8 plus baby.

    There are 4 bedrooms, 2 large doubles and 2 twins, 2 modern showerrooms, a spacious kitchen with dining table for 6/8 and a large lounge with additional dining facilities for 8 allowing the visitor to dine in comfort whilst overlooking Edinburgh Castle - a wonderful sight at any time of day but particularly in the evening with the floodlit castle creating an even more dramatic backdrop.

    Castle View is located in an excellent position just 15 to 20 minutes walk from Princes Street and the city centre. The apartment has wonderful views across The Meadows and Bruntsfield Links, a large grassy parkland area, towards Edinburgh Castle with Calton Hill and Edinburgh city centre skyline in the distance. Castle View is situated on Warrender Park Crescent and offers a fantastic base from which to explore Edinburgh's many attractions.     We hope we have catered for all our visitors needs with cd players in the lounge and kitchen areas, TV in the lounge with BT Vision, DVD player and telephone and Wireless Broadband for those that want to keep in touch. The kitchen has a dishwasher, washing machine, gas cooker, microwave, large fridge/freezer and ample pots and pans and crockery. There is also a high chair and travel cot plus baby crib. The apartment has full gas central heating with the addition of a lively coal effect fire in the lounge to create a cosier feel in the winter months.

    The Castle itself and Edinburgh's historic Old Town including The Royal Mile are also within easy walking distance, allowing our guests to visit a large number of Edinburgh's many famous attractions on foot. Bruntsfield Links, immediately opposite the apartment, is an open park area with pitch and putt course, and tennis courts and play parks can be found at the eastern edge of The Meadows only a few minutes walk away.
    The Royal Commonwealth Swimming Pool and the famous Arthur's Seat (the Queens Parkland adjacent to Holyrood Palace), are within a short walk. Regular bus links on Bruntsfield Place and Melville Drive provide easy access to other areas of Edinburgh slightly further afield, and are again only minutes from the apartment.
    The Bruntsfield and Marchmont areas of Edinburgh where the apartment is located have the benefit of a variety of excellent restaurants and cafés, and local shops provide a wide ranging source of goods from quality delicatessen food to high fashion shoes.

    Road Directions

    Drive up Market Street towards The Mound. Turn left onto The Mound and continue straight through traffic lights onto George IV Bridge. Continue along G IV Bridge until road splits then travel along Bristo Place for 50 yards and take right hand lane to turn onto Teviot Place leading into Laurieston Place . Continue along Laurieston Place and take left turn at Lauriston Gardens. Take first right onto Panmure Place. Turn left onto Brougham Street which leads onto Melville Drive. Take the 3rd right off Melville Drive onto Marchmont Road then the 1st right onto Warrender Park Terrance. Warrender Park Crescent can be found at the far end of WP Terrace after its junction with Marchmont Street. No 19 can be found on the left hand side just after the junction with Marchmont Street.

    Public Transport Directions

    Getting there by railway:- From the south take the main East coast line from London Kings Cross to Edinburgh Waverley. Exit station towards Waverley Bridge (West exit) then turn left to find TIC on left hand corner of Waverley Bridge and Market Street. Then follow directions from TIC as above.

    Getting there by aeroplane:- Travel to Edinburgh Airport then either airport bus into Edinburgh City Centre and follow directions from TIC or taxi from Airport

    Getting there by ferry:- Zebrugge to Rosyth Ferry then follow signs for Edinburgh. Follow signs for City Centre. Then follow directions from TIC on corner of Waverley Bridge and Market Street.
