Chase The Wild Goose Holidays

Overview

Chase The Wild Goose Holiday Cabins are built from solid logs from the Douglas Fir tree laid, in the traditional manner, log upon solid log. Inside there is a lovely rustic feel. The cabins are fully heated and comfortably equipped with wall to wall carpeting, modern kitchens and bathrooms and a few modern conveniences - Microwave Ovens, Fridge Freezers, Colour TVs, etc.

Located in a beautiful open woodland park setting mid-way between Loch Eck and the Holy Loch, the cabins are just 10 minutes drive from the popular seaside town of Dunoon. The area is known as the Argyll Forest Park section of the Loch Lomond Trossachs National Park.

An area of outstanding natural beauty it has been popular with visitors since Victorian times, when steamers brought visitors 'in their droves' for sunshine, sand, ice cream, boating, the great outdoors. The Benmore Botanical Gardens are a now a major draw, as are the forest walks of Cowal, including those of Pucks Glen, Kilmun Arboretum, Ardnadam and Glenbranter. Ostel Bay, near Tighnabruiach, is a secluded beach off the beaten track and only accessible (first by road, then) on foot, and the Isle of Bute, Rothesay Castle and Mount Stuart are great for a day out.

There are two 2-bedroom cabins and 0ne 3-bedroom cabin available, and each is especially suitable for couples and small families. Rainbow lodge sleeps up to 6. Dogs are also welcome by arrangement.
