Clachan Cottage is a traditional cottage which will provide a comfortable and homely atmosphere for two people. Situated in the beautiful hamlet of Anwoth, just 1.5 miles from Gatehouse of Fleet, there is a wealth of natural beauty, wildlife and beaches to explore. In its refurbishment, great care has been taken to retain the character of the original cottage, which boasts a wood burning stove set in an original fireplace and a charming lounge and dining room with patio doors leading out onto the secluded garden. A fully equipped kitchen will cater for all self-catering needs, while a trip into nearby Gatehouse of Fleet will secure all the local produce you need to create culinary gems.

The peaceful garden is a haven for wildlife where you will spot a great variety of song birds and woodpeckers and nuthatches. Red squirrels visit the garden on a daily basis and provide endless hours of entertainment with their acrobatic antics. Enjoy a leisurely walk to the quaint wee town of Gatehouse of Fleet and be sure to stop off at the inviting cafes and restaurants.Surrounding the area is a wealth of dramatic countryside together with beautiful beaches to explore. Golfers are also well catered for with a variety of courses including the challenging 9-hole course in Gatehouse itself. Due to the close proximity of the gulf stream there are many beautiful gardens to visit full of exotic plants and trees.
