Cladville

Welcome to Cladville Dairy, set in a unique position atop Cladville Hill on a working croft in the Rhinns of Islay.

Cladville Dairy offers luxury accommodation with spectacular, uninterrupted views over traditionally farmed croft land offering wildlife lovers the perfect location for bird watching from their own front door
The south facing Dairy enjoys panoramic views over Portnahaven Rhinns Lighthouse, the Irish sea and the Atlantic Ocean. On clear days County Antrim Northern Ireland , serves as a dramatic backdrop to the busy seaway - binoculars essential!
Weather its whisky or wildlife, Cladville dairy is the perfect location to enjoy your holiday on Islay.
Cladville is farmed in a traditional way, respecting and nurturing the flora and forna of Islay. You can see buzzard, hen harrier, chough and corncrake, while white front geese are annual visitors. Bird watching can be enhanced by a visit to the local RSPB reserves.
Islay has along association with whisky and all eight working distilleries are in easy reach of Cladville.
From the more heavily peated such as lagavvulin to the newest distillery at Kilchoman, there is always something to see.

Our family business lies one and a half miles north of the picturesque fishing village of Portnahaven. Built around a natural harbour and overlooked by the Rhinnes lighthouse, seals doze on the rocks, while the village sports a shop, post office and pub where you can enjoy good food and great whisky.
Cladville Dairy, accommodating four persons comfortably, is double-glazed with oil central heating throughout. Electricity and oil are included in the price.

There is a fully-fitted kitchen with washer/dryer, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and airier. There is also a full complement of kitchen utensils.

The living/dining room is open plan with TV,DVD , electric log effect fire and books and games.

The master bedroom contains a double bed in cream wrought iron, made up with white bed linen. Pictures by local artist and a full length mirror complement the look. Fabulous sea views from the south facing window

The twin bedroom has twin cream wrought iron beds made up with white bed linen. Again fabulous sea views.

The bathroom is fully fitted with a white suite, and has a power shower and heated towel rail.

There is parking, exclusive to our guests at the front of the dairy and a private seating area for eating al fresco.

Bed linen and one bath towel is provided per guest. Should you wish to go swimming then please bring your own beach towel.

We would appreciate if guests did not smoke in the Dairy as it is a family accommodation.
And as Cladville is a working croft we cannot accommodate pets for safety reasons.

The Dairy is let on a weekly basis, from 3pm on Saturday, with departure prior to 10am the following Saturday. Please ring for the availability of short stay breaks.
