Overview

Centrally located in the sophisticated Bruntsfield area of Edinburgh close to the International Conference Centre and within easy walking distance of Edinburgh Castle.

Cluaran House was built in 1868 and has been restored in bright harmonious colours to compliment its airy spacious interior. Many original features have been restored to something of their former glory such as cornices, original shutters and a magnificent stained glass entrance panel that have all been rejuvenated to give a fascinating glimpse into the skilled craftmanship of the period and helping create the mood for a memorable stay. We aim to give our guests a welcoming "home from home" experience by offering alongside the traditional full breakfast, vegetarian and other dietary options. Nearby are quality restaurants, cafes and the uniquely individual shops of Bruntsfield.
