Cockle Kitty Cottage

Cockle Kitty Cottage is on the east side of Plum Braes Barn enjoying uninterrupted sun rises from the original Hemel arch-window. A perfect location to enjoy Kelso and its surrounding countryside.

Enjoy wonderful views over the Eden valley, river walks and wild life. A very comfortable and relaxing place to stay. Short breaks are welcome and feel free to call for last minute bookings. There are 3 other cottages near by sleeping 2, 4 and 10. The spacious lounge has an enormous arch-shaped French window facing East, perfect for basking in the morning sun. The lounge has a large pine table dining table and chairs, and a log burner. And comfortable large leather sofa. The beautiful oak flooring extends in to the adjacent kitchen and along the glass corridor to the bed rooms.
One King size Austrian sleigh bed and a twin room.

The kitchen has a door leading out onto wooden decking with garden furniture and breathtaking views over beautiful rolling hills. The double bedroom has a king-sized Austrian sleigh bed, and in common with the twin room next door, sunny south facing views over to the Cheviot hills twelve miles away. There is one bathroom with an over-head shower.

Cockle Kitty Cottage has a dishwasher, sky TV, video, DVD and stereo. Linen, towels and logs provided. Shared washing machine, tumble drier, washing line, iron and ironing board on site.

Cockle Kitty is a very popular escape in the winter. Enjoy river walks and Borders history or simply relaxing on the large leather sofa.

There is a new all weather tennis court which guests are welcome to use with no charge. Tennis coaching is available @ £20.00 per hour up to 4 people however booking in advance for this is recommended.

Cockle Kitty Cottage is on Cliftonhill which is an Organic farm producing oats and malting barley, lamb, eggs, and there are fruit and vegetables including asparagus in May, strawberries in June, black currants in July, potatoes in August and herbs galore.

I look forward to hearing from you and I will always be pleased to help. Any length of stay is welcome.
