Getting there by aeroplane:- From Sumburgh Airport, the drive to Coel Na Mara takes around 2 hours and involves a 70 minute drive to Toft in the North Mainland (via the A970 and A968) a 15 minute ferry crossing to Ulsta in Yell and a further 15 minute drive (via the A968 and B9081) to Mid Yell.
The frequent and inexpensive ferry service between Toft and Ulsta operates approximately half hourly (hourly on Sundays) from 6am - 11pm.
