Public Transport Directions

From the nearest information centre:- From Kyle of Lochalsh take A87 south for about 8 miles past the sign for Ardelve. Property signposted on left hand side of road. Turn down narrow single track road signposted conchra, for approx 1/2 mile.

Getting there by railway:- Trains leave Inverness three times a day. It is considered to be the finest railway journey in the country. Connections should be made to Inverness and thence to Kyle of Lochalsh. From Kyle follow the A87 past the turn off to Lochcarron and about two miles further on take the road (signposted Conchra House) on the left just before Dornie.

If required we can arrange for you to met at Kyle and taken to and from the Hotel.

Another (equally spectacular) route is via Mallaig. Take the train to Fort William and thence to Mallaig. Then take the ferry to Armadale on Skye. You can even go on a steam train from Fort William to Mallaig. From Armadale proceed to Kyleakin and then over the Skye Bridge to Kyle.

Getting there by aeroplane:- By Air - Flights are to Inverness, and take around one hour from London. You can also fly from Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Wick and Kirkwall.

Getting there by ferry:- For travellers wishing to over the sea to Skye there are various choices:


From Mallaig the ferry takes half an hour and crossings are frequent.

From Glenelg the small car ferry makes the journey to Kylerhea during the day.
