Coorie Doon Cottage

Overview

"Coorie Doon" loosely translated means to "cuddle in" and that is what we wish for our guests -warm, homely atmosphere where you can relax and unwind in front of our wood burning stove at the end of the day. The cottage has three bedrooms, a double on the ground floor and a double and a twin on the first floor. There is a family bathroom with shower upstairs and a w.c. with wash hand basin downstairs.

There is a well equipped kitchen with access to a back garden and a lounge with dining area overlooking the garden.

The cottage has full central heating and a "welcome pack" including tea, coffee, milk, bread and homemade cakes awaits you on arrival.

The charm of the Cottage lies in its location - not only can you wake up to the sight of the thatched cottage of Burns but you also have the facilities of a Post Office and village store, chemist, coffee shop/bistro and beautiful gift shop nearby. The coffe shop/bistro is open from 9 for breakfast. Burns National Heritage Museum is a ten minute walk away as is Rozelle Estate and Art Gallery. The beautiful "Brig-O-Doon" House Hotel; is also a short stroll away where delicious food is served all day.

Ayr town centre is 5 minutes away by car where there is ample shopping and leisure facilities. Ayrshire also boosts some of the most beautiful and challenging Golf courses from Turnberry to Royal.

Troon and Culzean Castle and Country Park is 15 minutes drive where you will find breathtaking walks and gardens amidst the historic splendour of the castle itself.

And children will love a visit to the Heads Of Ayr Farm Park, an awarding winning facility with over 50 species of animals plus quad biking, aerial slides, trampolines and a huge indoor play area for rainy days.

We would love to have you to stay at Coorie Doon Cottage and we're sure whether your a lover of Burns, golf or just Ayrshire in general you'll have a lovely time in Alloway with many memories to take away.
