Corriegour Lodge Hotel And Restaurant

Nestled between Spean Bridge and Loch Ness, amidst the glorious splendour of the Highlands, this magnificent hotel offers panoramic views, exquisite dining and free Wi-Fi and on-site parking.

Nestled between Spean Bridge and Loch Ness on the road to Skye, amidst the glorious splendour of the Highlands, this magnificent hotel offers panoramic views, exquisite dining and free Wi-Fi and on-site parking. Originally built in 1880, this former Victorian hunting lodge sits high above Loch Lochy and is framed by nine acres of mature woodland. Whether relaxing by the private lochside beach (complete with jetty), or simply strolling through the extensive gardens, the area cultivates a calming ambiance far removed from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. This peaceful atmosphere is reflected throughout the property and guests are sure to succumb to the lure of its traditional charms. Privately-run, the Hotel is committed to providing outstanding service and a welcome that is infused with the spirit of true Highland hospitality.

Each of the 10 en-suite rooms are individually styled and furnished whilst still maintaining the aesthetic allure of the rest of the building. Designed with comfort and relaxation in mind, all are fully-equipped with all the necessary modern conveniences one would expect from a hotel of this calibre, including free Wi-Fi access, flat screen TV, work desk, hairdryer and tea & coffee making facilities. The majority of rooms also offer stunning views across Loch Lochy and the Great Glen. Classic, Superior and family room options are available.

With, it has been said, "Better food than the top London restaurants and a view to die for", no visit to Corriegour Lodge would be complete without having first sampled the culinary delights offered by their award-winning restaurant. Michelin Recommended and a Scottish Tourist Board Eat Scotland award silver winner, the restaurant has an impressive reputation for creating some seriously good food. Utilising the finest quality produce from the rich natural larder of the Scottish Highlands, guests can expect to enjoy an ever-changing menu that includes such sumptuous delights as freshly caught fish, King Scallops, Aberdeen Angus beef, homemade bread and mouth-watering desserts. The restaurant itself is equally remarkable, setting the scene with candlelit tables, open log fires and expansive windows looking out over the beautiful surroundings.

With the harmonious splendour of the Scottish Highlands on its doorstep, the hotel is the perfect venue to host wedding celebrations. Steeped in exuberant romanticism, it is sure to inspire a lifetime of joyful memories.

Situated just off the A82, with free on-site parking, the hotel is located halfway between Spean Bridge and Loch Ness and a half an hour’s drive from Fort William. The nearest city is Inverness, approximately an hour’s drive north. Here visitors can find excellent transport links to the rest of the United Kingdom, including Inverness Airport, a further 15 drive minutes outside the city. Fort William also offers great rail links whilst there is a local station at Spean Bridge, not much more than a 15 minute taxi ride away. Corriegour Lodge Hotel is at the centre of The Great Glen, an area famed for its wild and dramatic scenery and its sequence of lochs including the famous Loch Ness and Loch Lochy. Along its length runs the Caledonian Canal, linking Inverness to Corpach near Fort William. Lovers of the great outdoors will find ample opportunities for walking, cycling, pony-trekking, climbing, fishing, sailing and much more besides.  A gateway to the Highlands, this area embodies all that is great about Scotland, with its rich history and uniquely beautiful scenery. Within easy travelling distance of the hotel are the imposing ruins of Urquart Castle, the fairy-tale romanticism of Cawdor Castle and the iconic majesty of Eilean Donan Castle. Other attractions include the National Trust for Scotland Centres at Glencoe, the Glenfinnan Monument and Inverewe Gardens, the Cameron, MacPherson and MacDonald Clan Centres, the West Highland line stream train (the original Harry Potter train), Clan visitor centres, Highland Wildlife Park and numerous golf courses. Aonach Mor, Scotland’s newest ski development can be easily reached in less than 20 minutes by car, and the famous Whisky Trail takes the visitor to many of the distilleries in the area. Of course, no trip would be complete without engaging in a spot of Nessie hunting by the mysterious and beautiful Loch Ness.
