Fiona and David welcome you to "Coynachie", which derives from Gallic words meaning meeting place of the waters.
Coynachie is set in a beautiful tranquil wooded valley, perfect for peace and quite a great place to relax in rural Aberdeenshire.
Come and enjoy some a restful stay in our large traditional stone built home. All our bedrooms and bathrooms have been refurbished to a high standard.

Easy access to Whisky, Castle and Coastal trails and National Trust and Historic Scotland properties. Farmers Markets; Deveron Fishing Festival; Portsoy Boat Festival; Highland Games;Ceilidhs; Keith and Turriff Agricultural Shows, Huntly Hairst Food and Farming Festival, Haloween in Huntly; are on during the year. Lots of Ancient Standing Stones, Circles and indiviual eg Maiden Stone; Golf Courses, fishing and horse riding are also available nearby. Walkers and cyclists are very welcome and we offer secure storage and drying facilities.

Huntly is home of the clan Gordon.
Coynachie is surrounded by young native broadleaf trees such as oak, birch, rowan, juniper, scots pine and alder. New walks through the woods and wild flower meadows and bridges to cross the streams have been established for the use of visitors throughout the year. Beyond the house lies the Clashindarroch, which is one of the best snow holding forests in the country and has many Nordic skiing, walking and mountain biking trails.
