Craignay set in the Cairngorms National Park has accommodation for 8 people in 4 bedrooms.
It's an excellent base from which to explore Speyside and the Cairngorms National Park.
Craignay is an attractive, traditional, stone-and-lime built and typically Speyside detached house of two storeys and is situated close to the old A95 road entering the village of Dulnain Bridge from Aviemore. It is within easy walking distance (300 metres of the centre of the village and is surrounded by Scots Pine and Birch woodland.
Dulnain Bridge is 3 miles from Grantown on Spey, 7 miles from Carrbridge, 7 miles from Boat of Garten and 12 miles from Aviemore. The village has a general store and Post Office, a garage, an excellent, homely restaurant and three high quality hotels. The Speyside Heather Centre also provides snacks/meals and en enjoyable shopping experience.
Renowned 18-hole golf courses are nearby at Grantown on Spey, Boat of Garten, Aviemore, Kingussie and 9-hole courses at Neth Bridge and Carrbridge.
Salmon fishing in the world-famous River Spey can be arranged locally and there is a wide selection of trout fishing available.
The Cairngorms National Park is renowned for the wide variety of outdoor leisure pursuits including hill walking, rock climbing, sailing, canoeing, bird-watching. The Cairngorm Mountain Funicular Railway and the Lecht Chairlift serving these two ski areas are each only 30 minutes from Dulnain Bridge.
Craignay has Total Control electric room heating and a Scandinavian Jotul wood-burning stove adds to the ambience and warmth of the living/dining room. The Sun Lounge overlooking the garden lawn heats rapidly in the sunshine. The kitchen is fully equipped with electric cooking facilities. All beds are supplied with linen and duvets and fresh sheets and towels are supplied.
Craignay is available for weekly holiday lets from entry at 1600 to 1000 departure on Saturdays/Sundays during the months of March to October. It is also available for Christmas Week.
Reservations are from Saturday to Saturday or Sunday to Sunday. Please enquire about availability.
Discounts off the price are available for only two people occupancy.
