Garden Cottage makes a perfect setting for a relaxing holiday with family and friends. Spacious, modern and luxurious, it has three bedrooms and comfortably sleeps eight. The beach, shops and pubs are but a short stroll away and there's private off street parking for two cars right outside the front door. There is central heating throughout, high speed wireless internet access and those with young children will find a travel cot and high chair in the cupboard at the top of the stairs. Linens and towels are provided as is an iron and ironing board in case something special was crushed on your journey.
The fully enclosed walled rear garden means you can put your feet up whilst the children (or adults!) play safely to their heart's content. There is also another lawned area that’s ideal for sunbathing and a patio with garden furniture and a BBQ. The patio also has outside lighting, so you can stay out long after the sun goes down.
The ground floor is fully wheelchair accessible and you will find a large, open plan space to the rear of the cottage that accommodates the kitchen, dining and living areas.
High spec and fully equipped, the kitchen comes complete with a range cooker, microwave, large fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and all the crockery and cutlery you're ever likely to need. All you need to do is bring the chef!
To the side, a large dining table comfortably seats eight. Beside this is a cosy TV area, ideal for a family chill out after a busy day exploring, with a large, comfy corner sofa by the fire with a 40” flat screen TV, Sky TV and DVD player. You’ll also find a PlayStation 2 and Wii and a wide selection of games in the cupboard. On the dresser are a host of family board games, books and DVDs.
One of our favourite spots for relaxing is the two sofas at the back of the living area. French doors on three sides open onto the private garden (approximately 90 feet by 30 feet) flooding this area with natural daylight and making it ideal for spending a bit of "me time" relaxing, reading the paper and enjoying a well earned refreshment.
The spacious ground floor family bedroom has a king size double bed together with adult size bunk beds, triple wardrobes, a large chest of drawers and a TV/DVD player. Completing the ground floor is the family bathroom with jacuzzi bath and "mains" shower over the bath.
Upstairs are two further bedrooms. The master boasts a king size double bed, double wardrobes, a chest of drawers, multi channel TV and a spacious en-suite shower room with “mains” shower. There are also a couple of comfortable chairs.
The large twin bedded room has built in wardrobes, chest of drawers, and multi channel TV/DVD player and the views over the garden are delightful.
The patio has a selection of garden furniture and a Webber barbecue. Outside lighting means you can stay out long after dark
Staying at Garden Cottage
When you are on holiday it is important you feel comfortable and relaxed. Worry not, that is what we aim for at Garden Cottage. You will find just about every modern convenience you could imagine as well as some you might not expect to see in a holiday home. All that we ask is that you treat the cottage with care so that the next guests find it in the same condition as you did. And we know that spillages and breaks happen. Unless the damage is extensive, you will not be charged. All we ask is that you let us know what happened so we can quickly repair or replace the damaged items.
Instructions for all the appliances can be found in a white folder in the shelf under the coffee table and the central heating instructions are displayed above the boiler in the cupboard at the top of the stairs.
You’ll find the bins in the bin store through the black door about 20 feet to your right as you leave the cottage’s front door. Fife Council now operates a four bin recycling policy so it would be a great help if you could do your best to sort your waste in to the appropriate bins.
The hall has been tiled so there is no need to take dirty shoes off before you come inside. However, it would be a great help if you do take them off before walking on the carpets and wooden flooring – you would not believe how dirty those areas can get!
Well-behaved dogs are welcome, but please keep them downstairs only and not in the family bedroom. And please, please clean up any mess in the garden. It is likely the next guests will have small children and we do not want any ‘accidents’.
Smoking is strictly off limits inside the cottage.
