Set in a lovely scenic location with panoramic views of the Cuillin Mountains, we offer comfortable homely accommodation in our traditional house. Both rooms have TV/DVD players, hairdryers and a generous hospitality tray.
Crossal House is centrally located making it an ideal base for touring the Island, with Portree, the Islands Capital, only 15 mins drive and the Talisker Distillery Skye's only producer of Malt Whisky less than 10 minutes away. Facilities include a cosy residents sitting room with a good selection of books and literature relating to the area. Packed lunches and drying facilities can be provided if required.
A 10 minute drive will take you to the scenic Glen Brittle, with its Fairy Pools, waterfalls, forest walks and a stunning beach all under the shadow of the Black Cuillin mountains. Here is the starting point for the more adventurous climbers but from the car park you will find a lovely walk along the coastal path to the headland. Keep a lookout though as you may be lucky enough to spot a Golden Eagle or even a White Tailed Sea Eagle both of which inhabit the area.
The local area really is a paradise for Bird Watchers, Photographers, Artists and Climbers. We have the most stunning sunrise, sunsets and moonrise plus stargazing all from our front door.
