'Cruachan' is set in the small and peaceful, historic village of Milton with superb views across Glen Urquhart.

The Residential Lounge/Dining Room is available for the exclusive use of guests at all times. And why not join us in the Sun Room at the front of the house to enjoy the south facing aspect and the view across the Glen? Both our guest bedrooms benefit from this outlook.
Our 'Poppy' Superking double room has ample space and storage for you to settle in comfortably, with an immediately adjacent private bathroom with corner bath plus full thermostatic shower over.
'Heather' our twin room, provides similar comfort levels with the benefit of fully en suite thermostatic shower facilities.
Each room has the following: TV with remote and DVD player, central heating, hairdryer, facility to make a selection of hot drinks and range of biscuit/cakes/sweet/fruit. Iron and board are also available for you to use on request Milton is only 1 mile from the centre of what many regard as an essential stop on any tour of the Highlands, Drumnadrochit. This small town boasts a Tourist Information Centre, restaurants (some offering collect & return), pubs, cafes, gift shops & general stores. You can also visit the Loch Ness exhibitions and learn of the history of this huge natural loch and its famous inhabitant!
Within 10 miles or less are Urqhuart Castle, Corrimony RSPB reserve and, a little further afield after a scenic drive through Glen Urquhart itself, why not visit Glen Affric, regarded by many as the most beautiful Glen in Scotland.
Inverness, the Capital of the Highlands, is only 14 miles away with the Battlefield of Culloden a nearby atmospheric visit, whilst Fort George and Cawdor Castle are further notable historic sites within easy reach of the city.
Indeed, for a base or part of a tour of the Highlands, we are most conveniently situated.
So, whether it is walking (the Great Glen Way is only 0.7 mile away), golf, fishing, cycling (we are ON the Great Glen Cycleway), wildlife watching, horse riding or sightseeing be sure to visit us at 'Cruachan'.
