Cuidhe Leathain B & B was awarded prestigious Gold Star status by Visit Scotland for excelling in customer care and has Five Star TripAdvisor Status. Traditional Highland house in the conservation area of Tobermory. Luxuriously appointed bedrooms
Cuidhe Leathain (pronounced Coo Lane and roughly translated from the Gaelic as MacLean's Corner) is a traditional Highland house within the conservation area of Old Tobermory. Alan and Jeannette Hodson were regular visitors to Mull for more than 25 years before moving to their favourite place in the world more than 13 years ago. Cuidhe Leathain is now a luxurious award-winning B & B. The guest sitting room, dining room and super-king bedroom have original Victorian fireplaces and both the guest sitting room and dining room have welcoming open fires on chilly nights and mornings. Satellite television is available in the sitting room and all bedrooms have colour T.V/DVD. Alan can provide information on eating-out, walking, driving, boat trips and tours - from whale watching and eagle spotting to traditional music. Bathrobes and slippers are provided in all bedrooms, as are toiletries, grooming kits and shower caps. One bedroom has Super King (6ft) bed. This room has sofa and views over the Sound of Mull. It has its own private bathroom (exclusive to super-king). The second bedroom has views over Tobermory to the south of the island. It has a King Double (5ft) bed and has en-suite facilities. There is a third room with standard double bed, which is only let for single occupancy and in conjunction with the super-king room (i.e. a party of three) as it shares the separate private bathroom of the super-king. All bedrooms are stocked with a wide variety of beverages including ground coffee, speciality teas and hot chocolate. Shortbread, chocolates and mineral waters are also provided. There is an extensive breakfast choice, including full Scottish breakfast, smoked trout, smoked haddock, kippers, fresh fruit, fruit compote and yoghurts. Eggs Benedict with smoked trout is a house speciality. Free Wifi is available throughout. There is a secure garden to the rear of the house. Cuidhe Leathain is also home to Fergus and Mungo (Scottish Bearded Collie dogs) and two elderly Maine Coon cats, Tobermory (Toby) and Tabitha.
