    Located on the west side of the Trotternish Peninsula in the village of Uig, Cuil Lodge is close to the Trotternish Ridge and the Quiraing with their superb scenery, walking, climbing and varied wildlife.

    Complimentary Transfers to/from the Ferry Terminal in Uig Cuil Lodge is located on the shore of Uig Bay. It's a modern home owned and operated by Sue Hood as a small and friendly B&B. Rooms are well decorated and modern in design, have ensuite Shower Rooms, tea/coffee making facilities and great sea view out across Loch Snizort to the Waternish Peninsula. Bedrooms have modern flat-screen TVs and there's a comfortable Guests' lounge.

    Breakfasts are included in the overnight rates and include a cold buffet of fruit juices, cereals, fruit, yoghurt etc, followed by your choice from our cooked menu which, together with tea/coffee and toast, will be served at your table.

    Transfers can be arranged from all mainland airports, Kyle of Lochalsh railway station, the ferry terminal at Armadale, and the bus terminal in Portree. Complimentary transfers from Cuil Lodge to/from the Uig ferry terminal are also available. If a transfer is needed, please mention this when making your reservation.

    Road Directions

    Travelling north from Portree on the A87 road, drive down the steep hill into Uig passing the Uig Hotel on the right. Continue down the hill to the 30mph speed signs then, immediately, turn left into the small lane signposted to Cuil. We are the fourth house on the left. Travelling south or from the Uig Ferry Terminal, drive through Uig on the A87 road. You pass the Ferry Inn on the left, then the Post Office on the right. About 100 meters past the Post Office, turn right into the small lane signposted to Cuil. We are the fourth house on the left.

    Public Transport Directions

    Getting there by railway:- If you intend travelling to Skye by train, you will arrive at Kyle of Lochalsh Railway Station. Take the take the service bus to Portree from where we'll arrange a complimentary transfer with "Silver Skye Tours" to Cuil Lodge. Please make such transfer arrangements in advance, preferably when making your accommodation reservation.

    Getting there by aeroplane:- We can arrange transfers from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Inverness International Airports through "Silver Skye Tours." Please contact us for a Quotation.

    Getting there by ferry:- If you intend arriving on foot at Uig Ferry Terminal, please make arrangements in advance for a complimentary transfer with "Silver Skye Tours" to Cuil Lodge. If you intend arriving at the ferry terminal in Armadale, please take the service bus to Portree from where we'll arrange a complimentary transfer with "Silver Skye Tours" to Cuil Lodge. Please make such transfer arrangements in advance, preferably when making your accommodation reservation.
