Overview
The name Cuilfail (pronounced " Cool-fail" ) in Gaelic appropriately means "Sheltered Corner",Offering a Public Bar Real Ales with on site brewery, 12 en suite spacious rooms, offering doubles, twins, triples and family rooms with hospitality tray and colour TV. Outside the magnificent display of Virginia creeper bedecks the hotel with quite amazing colour for most of the summer and Autumn months.
As soon as you enter this charming little hotel you will be struck by its homely highland feel. This rather infectious highland ambience provides a superbly stress free, unhurried environment.
For the owners Yvonne O'Shea & Simon Fletcher, excellent quality highland cuisine is top priority, offering meals in the bar & in the dining room, it's a very popular country eating experience, using locally farmed produce.
The amazing bar with its stone walls, wood burning stove and large collection of old and new bank notes from around the world offers a good selection of malt whisky and also real ales which includes at least one produced in its own brewery by the riverside.
Residents can relax in the "Whisky Lounge" and a grand function room, with its wood panelling and vaulted ceiling is also available.
