    Dale Cottage is a charming traditional stone built cottage (circa 1800) situated in the heart of the historic Kingdom of Fife offering the perfect rural retreat while at the same time giving easy access routes to all Scotland has to offer.

    The cottage sits on the edge of the village of Strathmiglo with an open outlook. The Fife cycling route passes the front door and there are many walking paths close by.
    Dale Cottage is fully equipped for four guests and the accommodation, all on one level, is beautifully presented with all rooms leading off a spacious hallway.

    The Living Room is light and airy with a large picture window looking onto a secluded garden, has a satellite LCD TV, DVD player, radio and CD player. Internet access via a wireless broadband connection is also available.

    The recently fitted kitchen is fully equipped with an electric induction hob, electric oven, dishwasher and combination microwave, and leads to a utility area housing a fridge, freezer and washing machine.

    The modern shower room has a large walk-in shower, toilet and vanity basin.

    There are two bedrooms, one double with individual oak furniture, and one twin with a large walk-in wardrobe.

    A courtyard garden to the front of the cottage and a secluded walled garden to the rear completes the picture.

    The cottage is fully double glazed and benefits from gas central heating with radiators in all rooms.

    Off street parking is available in the front courtyard with additional parking on the lane in front of the cottage.

    A welcome tray is provided.

    Whether you are a cyclist, a walker, or a golfer the area has much to offer. Strathmiglo is only 2 miles from the historic burgh of Falkland with its cobbled streets, picturesque houses and Royal Palace which is open to the public through the National Trust for Scotland.

    As well as the numerous local attractions there is easy access to:
    St Andrews - The Home of Golf and Scotland's oldest University
    The charming fishing villages of the East Neuk

    The historic capital of Dunfermline
    The vibrant capital of Edinburgh
    Some of the UK's best kept beaches.

    There are also numerous other specialist interest attractions in the area including:

    45 golf courses in Fife catering for all standard of player with 40 more in neighbouring Perthshire.

    Road Directions

    From the south follow the directions as from the airport. From Perth follow the M90 south until junction 7, exit and take the A91 towards Milnathort. Continue through the roundabout and follow the A91, sign posted St Andrews, for approximately 11 miles until you see the Strathmiglo sign.

    Public Transport Directions

    Getting there by railway:- From Perth follow the M90 south until junction 7, exit and take the A91 towards Milnathort. Continue through the roundabout and follow the A91, sign posted St Andrews, for approximately 11 miles until you see the Strathmiglo sign.
    From Cupar follow the A91 towards Kinross for approximately 11 miles until you see the sign for Strathmiglo.


    Getting there by aeroplane:- On leaving the airport take the A8 (west) to the M9. Follow the signs to the Forth Road Bridge. Cross the bridge and continue on the M90 north for approximately 23 miles (37 km)until junction 8, sign posted A91 St Andrews. Leave the motorway at this junction and follow the A91 for approximately 9 miles until you see the sign for Strathmiglo.

    Getting there by ferry:- From the Rosyth Ferry terminal take the M90 north for approximately 17 miles (27 km) to junction 8, sign posted A91 St Andrews. Leave the motorway at this junction and follow the A91 for approximately 9 miles until you see the sign for Strathmiglo.
