Public Transport Directions

From the nearest information centre:- Follow signs for Stornoway airport A866. From Tourist office follow main road east along harbour front to bus station. At the roundabout take the first exit with the fuel storage depot on your right hand side. Keep on this road until you reach a mini roundabout at the Caladh Inn. Take the 2nd exit here (straight ahead). You are now on the A866 and you should continue for 7 miles. The village of Sheshader is after Shulishader. Approximately 600 yards after leaving Shulishader and on a long straight you will see signage for Sheshader as a right hand exit.
Take this road, and proceed along it until you reach the playpark. Here there are 3 road options. Follow the road to the right for about 300 yards. Daleview Cottage is on the left hand side past the white bungalow.


Getting there by railway:- The nearest rail stations are Inverness and/ or Dingwall. There are regular bus services from both towns to Ullapool and thereafter by Calmac ferry to Stornoway.

Getting there by aeroplane:- Regular flights to Stornoway airport by FLYBE. At the airport exit road, where it meets the A866, turn left and following directions for "by car" as shown above.
We can pick you up from the airport by prior arrangement.


Getting there by ferry:- Ferry sailings between Ullapool and Stornoway, or between Uig in Skye to Tarbert, Harris
We can pick you up from Stornoway ferry terminal by prior arrangement.
