Dalhenzean Lodge, Glenshee

A delightful 18th Century hunting lodge in beautiful Glenshee, which now provides a quality B&B experience set within the spectacular northeast Perthshire area of the Cairngorms National Park.

Dalhenzean Lodge lies in the spectacular mountain scenery of Glenshee, surrounded by majestic views on all sides and just a few yards from the Shee Water, a notable salmon river. The house itself dates from 1715 and is a former hunting lodge of the historic Dalhenzean Estate. This substantial stone-built property is now a comfortable family residence offering two most comfortable guest double bedrooms with en-suite or private facilities and full amenities. Excellent access is provided by the main A93 Perth to Braemar road, which passes close to the house and from which there is direct access to the private driveway.

In addition to the walking and fishing available in the immediate vicinity, the ski slopes of the Glenshee Ski Centre are just 7 miles to the north. Pony riding and exceptional golfing opportunities are also available within a few minutes drive, while the nearby Spittal Hotel (2 miles) and the Bridge of Cally Hotel (11 miles) offer a high standard of cuisine, hospitality and friendly service.

The now famous Cateran Trail, a 64 mile and exceptionally well signed "continuous loop" long-distance walk, passes within some 400 yards of the house.

Situated 17 miles north of Blairgowrie, Perthshire's second largest town, this 4-Star Bed & Breakfast is ideally placed to explore the historic castles of Balmoral, Glamis, Scone Palace and Blair Castle. Also within easy reach of our B&B are the famous golf courses of St Andrews, Gleneagles and Carnoustie, along with numerous others. The A93 route northwards, past the Glenshee Ski Centre, takes visitors to Royal Deeside and the Cairngorm National Park.

Guests are assured of a comfortable stay and a warm welcome in this peaceful and charming Highland Glen.
