From the nearest information centre:- From Newtongrange Tourist Information Centre, located in the Scottish Mining Museum on the A7. Take the A7 until the crossroads with a Shell petrol station on the right. Turn right onto the B704 to Bonnyrigg, after approximately 1 mile the Castle is on the left with a right turn into the driveway.

Getting there by railway:- From Waverley Station Edinburgh head towards the A7, stay on the A7 until Sheriffhall roundabout. Take the A7 south to Galashiels, stay on the A7, passing through 3 roundabouts. At the 4th roundabout take the B6392 on the right towards Bonnyrigg. At the next roundabout turn left onto the B704 to Gorebridge, Dalhousie Castle is approximately 0.5 mile on, clearly signposted on the left and visible on the right.

Getting there by aeroplane:- From Edinburgh Airport head towards city centre, just after the airport take the A720 city bypass towards Berwick Upon Tweed. At the Sheriffhall roundabout, take A7 south towards Galashiels, stay on the A7 passing through 3 roundabouts. At the 4th roundabout take the B6392 on the right towards Bonnyrigg, at the next roundabout turn left onto the B704 to Gorebridge. Dalhousie Castle is approximately 0.5 mile on, clearly signposted on the left and visible on the right.

Getting there by ferry:- From Leith take the coastal road towards Musselburgh. Follow this road until the A720 city bypass is reached. Turn right, follow the bypass to the Sheriffhall roundabout. Take the A7 south to Galashiels, passing through 3 roundabouts. At the 4th roundabout take the B6392 on the right towards Bonnyrigg. At the next roundabout, turn left onto the B704 to Gorebridge. The castle is 0.5 mile on, clearly signposted on the left.
