Dalilea Bungalow is situated in the West Highlands of Scotland, set in the spectacular scenery in a quiet and idyllic rural location.
The Bungalow is set in approximately 2.5 acres of natural oak woodland combined with landscaped gardens, bounded by a 6 ft. high deer fence. From it's elevated position, beautiful views are enjoyed to Ben Resipole and Loch Shiel.
Ardnamurchan is well known for it's unique splendour and is one of the most unspoilt regions in the Highlands. One can visit at any time of year and be enthralled by the natural beauty of the area. There is also an abundance of wildlife - otters, golden eagles, seals, porpoises, pine martens and red deer (which can be spotted a short walk up the hill to the back of the bungalow). Nearby are some wonderful beaches for which the West Coast is renowned, fed by the balmy Atlantic Gulf Stream, namely Dorlin and Ardtoe.
The accommodation is situated in 2.5 acres of picturesque landscaped gardens, ideal for dogs as the area is surrounded by a 6ft. high deer fence. Indeed, dogs, cats, hamsters and even a parrot have enjoyed their stay at Dalilea. The area is a fantastic base for walking, fishing and viewing the abundant wildlife: golden eagles, seals, otters. Red deer can be viewed a short walk up the hill through the gate at the back of the bungalow. We also have our own resident pine marten.
From the bungalow`s elevated position, stunning views are enjoyed to Ben Resipole and Loch Shiel. Nearby are the hills of Moidart from which can be seen the Hebridean Isles of Rhum, Eigg and Muck. The nearest village, Acharacle, is 4 miles away where there is a mini-supermarket, post office with cafe attached, a bakery, fish and chip shop and two hotels/restaurants serviing delicious home cooked food. We are 35 miles west of Fort William. The Atlantic is approximately 5 miles away with beautiful sandy beaches at Dorlin and Ardtoe.
