    30 minutes from the M6/M74 corridor makes it easily accessible from all over the UK; a perfect location for a get together with friends or family. Dalkeith House is licensed for weddings, civil partnerships, vow renewals and naming ceremonies.

     

    Offering luxurious accommodation sleeping 10; fully equipped kitchen, large dining room perfect for celebrating or for formal occasions, breakfast room also doubles as a sunny retreat  opening onto the large patio and garden.  The drawing room has a real fire and Smart TV with DVD player.  Separate TV lounge has a 50 inch 3D HDTV, SKY channels, Blu Ray, PS3 and XboxKinect and loads of movies. FREE WIFI is available throughout the house.  Sonos music system enabling you to play your own music or ours. 

    The garden is fully enclosed and particularly beautiful in spring and summer when the borders are in full bloom.  French doors lead from the spacious hall to a large patio with loads of seating for outdoor entertaining. BBQ provided.

    Newcastleton is located on the Scotland England border adjacent to Cumbria and Northumberland as well as all the historic Border towns; Hawick, Kelso, Jedburgh. Gretna, Scotland's wedding capital is just 20 minutes away. THE perfect base for exploring; minutes from local forests, world class 7stanes mountain bike trails, golf course, Rivers Esk and Liddel offering good salmon and sea trout in season.

    Everything is on your doorstep; pubs, restaurants, cafes, local shops, butchers, newsagent’s bank and a post office.

    Road Directions

    From the South
    M6 to Carlisle, A7 to Galashiels, turn right at Canonbie, signed to Newcastleton. Follow the B6357 for 10 miles when you will approach the village.

    From the North
    Either via Hawick from the A7, or via Jedburgh on the A68. Follow the signs into the village.

    Public Transport Directions

    Getting there by railway:- For access to Newcastleton by train, Carlisle (30 mins) is the most convenient in terms of connections and services, although Gretna is closer.

    There are regular services to Carlisle run by Virgin Trains and Northern Trains, and First Scotrail from Dumfries, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Newcastle Upon Tyne. Virgin also provides intercity services from elsewhere in Britain. First Scotrail and Northern Trains run services to Gretna.
