Even boasting a traditional Norwegian grass roof and sauna, the house is incredibly comfortable and cosy, and surrounded by some of the most stunning scenery in Scotland.

Dalriada is not part of a holiday complex, but sits on its own in an acre of enclosed garden and woodland, including a charming stream. Located just a few hundred metres from the water, it has lovely views across Loch Awe and the magnificent mountain, Ben Cruachan.

With three bedrooms and two bathrooms the house can sleep six people comfortably, with the option of an extra bed in the master bedroom, plus a cot. It is equipped to the highest standard. The vaulted ceiling and large open-plan living and dining room gives a lovely sense of light and space, as you gaze out at the views or enjoy the blazing log fire.

All on one level, it is ideal for people with mobility problems.

The area offers something for everyone – wonderful wildlife, walking, fishing, shooting, horse riding and sightseeing. Only 10 miles from Invereray and 32 from Oban, there are countless destinations within easy reach.  And then come back and relax in the new sauna or in front of the cosy log stove.

The friendly bar and restaurant at Ardbrecknish House is just a five minute stroll away. The loch’s best boat-hire and launch facilities are also within easy walking distance.

For the occasional rainy day (there are a few), there is an ample supply of books, games and DVDs. For the more active, the large outhouse contains a table-tennis table and dart board.
