Delhallan Luxury Country Home

Set in half an acre of beautiful private gardens, this executive holiday home is a rural delight. With championship golf courses nearby and so many visitor attractions you will be spoilt for choice for things to do and see.

This executive detached self-catering holiday home is located in an exclusive private estate of 5 homes. It has 4 bedrooms (3 doubles 1 twin/double) and a private garden. It is situated in the countryside 5 miles from the airport, 13 miles from the city of Inverness (capital of the Highlands) and 4 miles from Nairn. This rural retreat is perfect for relaxing or visiting the many attractions in the area.

The property boasts in excess of 2400 square feet of living space over 2 floors, with lavish entertaining spaces and fantastically spacious rooms. This luxurious detached house has been finished to the highest standards throughout and provides an ideal ‘home from home’. From the spacious inviting entrance hall, glass panelled doors lead to the commodious double aspect lounge, where there is ample seating, TV and audio equipment. On the other side of the hall, again through a glass panelled door, is the dining room with views to the front of the house. Off the hallway there is coat cupboard and also a cloakroom with a toilet and large sink. At the back of the house is the breakfast kitchen; this has a breakfast bar for 2, a table and chairs. There are a range of modern units incorporating glass fronted display cupboards and under unit lighting, and integrated Neff appliances. Appliances include a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, built-in double oven, a ceramic hob, a microwave and much more. Adjoining the kitchen is the utility room, which has an additional sink, a washing machine and a tumble dryer. From the kitchen through the double glass doors is the family room, with 2 sofas and a TV; triple aspect windows give glorious views of the gardens, fields and woods beyond. Patio doors lead out to the extensive terrace for alfresco dining, summer evening BBQ’s or romantic drinks by the chiminea.

Upstairs an extensive landing leads to the large, airy, master bedroom with views to the front of the house; it has a four poster double bed and its own en-suite shower room. A wardrobe with mirrored doors runs down the length of the room; this together with a dressing table and a chest of draws provide plenty of storage space. Adjacent to this room is the large family bathroom with a full size bath and separate shower. Also, with views to the front of the house and the mountains beyond, is a large twin bedded room, again with mirrored wardrobes and plenty of storage space; this room can be made up as a double or a twin. At the back of the house are two further double rooms, one large double room with views over the garden; and another with a Velux window overlooking the terrace; both have fitted wardrobes. From the landing you can also access a linen room that contains spare bedding if required and a cupboard for your suitcases.

The house is set in half an acre of private landscaped gardens which surround the house; adjacent to the property there is a further grassed area of around half an acre. The rear gardens are enclosed, with an unfenced wildlife pond and small orchard, as well as fruit bushes and an area for growing vegetables. To the side of the house there is a gravel drive and a parking area for several cars.

The rural location offers forest walks, spectacular sunsets and views of the mountains. Nature can literally be found on the doorstep as pheasants come into the garden to feed and deer come to drink from the pond; look carefully into the woods from the family room and you should also see red squirrels and perhaps a woodpecker. The quiet country roads and tracks in the nearby forest are ideal for walking and cycling.

The essentials, including a pub, restaurant, beach and Connage Dairy can be found in Ardersier 2.5 miles away. The nearest sandy beach is a little closer but don’t expect to share it with anyone except the local wildlife. Just a little further away is Fort George just waiting to be explored.
Specialist shops, restaurants and supermarkets are only 15 a minute drive away in Nairn or alternatively in Inverness (20 minutes). Nairn is a great place to explore with its harbour and beautiful sandy beach (Blue Flag). There are so many attractions nearby such as Cawdor Castle or why not try one of the championship golf courses, the closest being Castle Stewart (6 miles). No matter why you are visiting, with easy access to the A96 the whole of the Highlands from mountains to moorlands, from lochs with monsters to those with just fish, they are all within easy reach.
