All 24 Dornoch Castle en-suite bedrooms are tastefully decorated with a strong emphasis on comfort and tranquillity but still having that Baronial home atmosphere. There are deluxe Castle Rooms, superior Castle Rooms and Garden Rooms, the latter were built in the late 70's and form the easterly wing of the Castle. The hotel has undergone some major refurbishment recently and there are many rooms of individual character.
The Castle has one rosette and has won awards for its wonderful food which is sourced locally and cooked and presented by a keen young team.
Golf in the Highlands
The renowned Royal Dornoch Golf Course, is the world's 3rd oldest golf course, and proves both challenging and exhilarating to all players. Other popular 18 and 9 hole courses are within half an hour's drive of Dornoch and make the area a golfing heaven.
