Built in 1871 Dovecot House is located in a quiet tree-lined road, set within the historic conservation village of Corstorphine, and is named after its close neighbour the 16th century Dovecot, which once formed part of Corstorphine Castle.
Dovecot House is within 10 minutes of the city centre, the airport, railway station, city by-pass and the M8, M9 and M90 motorway network. The house is also close to the main bus route and only 20 minutes from the Forth Road Bridge.
Corstorphine has a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, and is on the main A8 tourist route into Edinburgh, close to Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh Zoo and the Gyle shopping centre and business park.
Maggie MacKenzie will offer her guests a very warm Scottish welcome to her recently renovated Victorian Villa set within its own grounds and with ample off-street secure parking. All bedrooms are individually decorated in relaxing tones and offer the full range of facilities including en suite or private bathroom, hairdryer, bathrobes, toiletries, colour TV with DVD, and tea/coffee making facilities. A choice is available of cooked Scottish or continental breakfast and guests can enjoy a non-smoking environment.
