Drynachan is a charming 17th century cottage, with a choice of two rooms - a double/family room with an en-suite bathroom and a twin room with private use of a shower and toilet. There is a comfortable sitting room to relax in the evenings.
Drynachan is a 17th century cottage located 2 miles north of the village of Invergarry in the Great Glen. With the Isle of Skye to the west, Sutherland and Caithness to the north, Aviemore and the Cairngorms to the east and Glencoe and Ben Nevis to the south we are truly set at the Heart of the Highlands.
We offer two rooms a Double/Family room with en suite bathroom comprising a full-sized whirlpool bath and a separate shower and a Twin room with vanity wash unit (located on the first floor) and the private use of a shower and toilet (found on the ground floor). The rooms are equipped with full "Traidcraft" provisions of tea, coffee, herbal teas and biscuits with other little extras that will make your stay comfortable - pillow sprays, complimentary toiletries, extra thick towels and bathrobes, slippers, hairdryer and a flat screen TV/DVD (we have an extensive library of over 250 titles).
Your breakfast is full of choice, whether you want just porridge or cereal, or try the Scottish pancakes, the monster (not Nessie) full breakfast or the luxury of smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, with home-baked bread and homemade preserves and marmalade, fruit juice, yoghurts, tea, coffee and a selection of herbal teas to complete your choice.
The breakfast cooked to order - so sit back, relax and enjoy HIGHLAND TIME".....
Evening Meals and Packed lunches are available, by prior arrangement only.
Children are welcome (there is a travel cot available) and unfortunately we do not accept pets - (we do have two boxer dogs)
Whilst at Drynachan you can have a look in the Gallery at Neville woodturning and Sonia's Watercolours and homemade cards. Even make time for a woodturning experience where Neville will give you a lesson and at the end you can take home a bowl turned by you.
Drynachan is at the heart of the Highlands and therefore is an ideal base for your touring, walking and climbing holiday. Remember in the Highlands there is a postcard round every corner, so don't forget your cameras.
Our Motto at Drynachan is simple
"ARRIVE AS A STRANGER - LEAVE AS A FRIEND"
