Dunskey Country Holiday Cottages

Overview

Ideally situated, Dunskey boasts excellent transport links at nearby Stranraer where there is a bustling railway station and at Cairnryan where there are ferries to Belfast and Larne. Carlisle and Glasgow are around two hours' drive away and the cottages are also easily reached from Prestwick Airport.

Individual in character but comfortable and traditional, the well-equipped cottages are within half a mile of each other, set in a beautiful rural location in the picturesque Dunksey Estate. The slightly smaller Blair Cottage sleeps four and is a cosy single storey cottage set in its own striking gardens at the head of Dunskey Glen. Aptly named Glen Cottage sleeps five and enjoys a similar location, situated above two small bays just 100 yards from the sea. Both cottages offer plenty of space and all the modern amenities required for a self-catering break.

There is always something to do in the area and with the beautiful Dunksey Estate right on the doorstep, you can enjoy exploring an abundance of nature and wildlife in the company of a part-time ranger. Also nearby is pony trekking at Lochnaw, loch fishing, challenging golf courses and stunning sandy beaches including one just a couple of minutes' walk away. Attractive harbour town Portpatrick is also just 1.5 miles away if you fancy eating out or enjoying a quiet drink.
