A 4 Star+, modern bungalow in an idyllic location with spectacular uninterrupted views across the Firth of Clyde to the Ayrshire coast,Cumbrae Isles & Kilchattan Bay.

From the property, relax and watch the yachts in the bay& passing cruise liners.This year our Guests have watched seals & dolphins at play and the occasional harmless basking shark. from the comfort of the cottage. Dykenamar is a much loved family home on half an acre of land with ever changing views over the reverscape. The bungalow occupies a prime position at the waterfront & is warm, welcoming, well equipped, & very comfortable. Relax in our comfortable lounge and just enjoy the constantly changing Firth of Clyde panorama as the light changes over the water. Since welcoming our first Guests, they have been returning to Dykenamar, in the sure knowledge that they can rely upon the high standards which we achieve. Our "in house" Visitors book reflects holidays much enjoyed with our Guests returning time after time. This is a real "home from home", where all ages appreciate its comfort & warmth. Bookings for 2011 are already well under way with 12 weeks already booked, 10 of which being return visits. Bookings received prior to 31 Dec 2010 will be at the 2010 Tariff.
Garden furniture is also provided for the good days.
Located in glorious surroundings, Kilchattan bay is at the Southern tip of Bute, and is very peaceful as the road goes only to the village. The Southern leg of the 25 mile West Island Way starts within a mere few minutes walk from the bungalow.

Golfers: Rich choice of three courses, each in glorious surroundings.

1. Nearby is the Kingarth 9 holes (par68) Unique course close to the sands at Stravannan with superb views of Arran & Firth of Clyde.

2. The Rothesay Canada Hill 18 hole (par69) course is one of Scotland's most scenic courses with breathtaking views of bays, lochs & mountains.

3. The Port Bannatyne 13 hole (par68)course,beautifully maintained, overlooking Kames Bay & towards Kyles of Bute.

Kingarth Hotel & Smiddy Bar : A family run hotel/ restuarant & bar serving meals all day. Advise=book ahead for evening meals,they are very popular serving excellent meals.

St Blanes Hotel:- Family run hotel serving meals & bar snacks -next door to bungalow.

A wide choice of restuarants and tearooms in Rothesay & Port Banantyne + a very popular Beach Cafe at Etterick Bay
