The site represents one of the larger colonies of common seals in the UK, holding around 2% of the UK population.

For anyone feeling energetic North Skye has some of the best coastal and forestry walks available in the UK with dramatic scenery round nearly every corner or crest of a hill. Guests can walk out the door of the chalet and walk to Waternish Point lighthouse, the best point on Skye to spot whales, basking sharks and other marine life. Or Aros bay clifftop walk, a fantastic spot to observe Eagles, Puffins and many other birds. A short trip by car will take you to the Coral Beaches and Neist Point with their unspoilt beauty are a must see for any visitors.
