East Brae Cottage B&B

This traditional Galloway cottage enjoys idyllic views over the countryside to Dalswinton and the Queensbury hills and provides an ideal location for exploring all Dumfries & Galloway has to offer. Dumfries & Castle Douglas are within 7.5 miles.

All ground floor rooms, great breakfasts and a warm friendly relaxed welcome . Free flat surfaced car park, free Wi-Fi. Plenty to do for the children too. All of East Brae's bedrooms are tastefully decorated and have a TV and tea and coffee facilities. Breakfast is made from only the finest, locally sourced ingredients, offering a tasty Scottish breakfast, made from meaty sausages, crispy bacon, fresh black pudding and haggis, and free range eggs, while lighter options are also available. Delicious homemade evening meals are also served - just book them in advance.

The B&B is based near the village of Crocketford, which is surrounded by the Galloway hills, offering beautiful vistas towards the Solway Firth and Cumbrian hills beyond. Cyclists and walkers will definitely want to make the most of the excellent walking routes and quiet cycling trails and nature lovers won't be disappointed either as the region is abound with fascinating wildlife and beautiful scenery. Head into town to have a drink at one of the traditional public houses, or visit the local antique shop, to discover unusual treasures.

East Brae Cottage is conveniently situated on the Dumfries to Stranraer road, providing an ideal stop-off on your way to the ferries at Cairnryan. The property is also ideally located for exploring the Food Town of Castle Douglas, with its individual shops specialising in food and local produce, and the bustling market town of Dumfries, where there are plenty of shops, restaurants and museums, as well as a good theatre. There are many beautiful beaches within easy reach along the Solway Coast, and the nearby Threave Gardens provide a fantastic day out.
Caerlaverock castle and the Solway Coast, the Red Kite feeding station are a must for the Birdwatchers. Mountain Biking the 7 Stanes. Biker & Golfers welcome year round.
