Driving Instructions from Edinburgh City By-Pass: Eastside Cottages are situated just six miles from the Edinburgh City by-pass and half a mile beyond Silverburn on the A702.
To get to Eastside Cottages take the A702 (the Biggar road) from the Edinburgh City by-pass, the A720.
Drive for approx. 5.5 miles southwest until you reach the village of Silverburn.
Drive straight through the village.
1/2 a mile beyond the village you will see a bus shelter on the right hand side.
Immediately after the bus shelter is a turning to right with a recessed field gate (where you can safely turn off the main road to open the gate).
Turn off the main road here and proceed through the gate.
After 1 mile up the track you will find the cottages.
