"Great central location in a wonderful city!"
“We were welcomed warmly and received outstanding service. The flat is lovely, clean, exceptionally attractive, filled with amenities, and very comfortable. The location is superb for a convenient visit to Edinburgh. One can walk easily to both New and Old Towns. Grocery, shopping, theater, and restaurants are also nearby. And the Castle view out the living rooms windows is magnificent.” US Traveller
ELEGANT 1 BED CITY CENTRE APARTMENT FACING EDINBURGH CASTLE. Very centrally located and a great base for exploring the city. Enjoy outstanding Castle views from your sitting room windows. Situated in the centre of the city in what is known as The Old Town, the apartment looks directly at Edinburgh Castle. Walk up Johnston Terrace (opposite) and you are at the entrance to the Castle - it takes a maximum of ten minutes. From here you can stroll down The Royal Mile (referred to as High Street on the maps) and enjoy this historic street with its many attractions, historic pubs and shops. Alternatively you can set off to the Grassmarket (a very short walk down Kings Stables Road) and discover the many bars, restaurants and querky shops in this historic part of town. Princes Street Gardens is across the road - here you can sit and relax and gaze upon the Castle towering above you.
The main museums, theatres and art galleries are all close by and the Edinburgh sightseeing tour bus stops just across the road. You will not require transport to get you around the city centre.
This apartment is ideal for romantic or city breaks, especially for those who are looking for history and culture. It sleeps 2 people very comfortably with a king size bed in the bedroom and a sofa bed in the sitting room. The bedroom looks onto internal gardens and is and very quiet. The kitchen has been modernised and has a NEFF hob, oven, microwave and dishwasher. There is also a washer/dryer. The flat was refurbished in September 2012 with new carpets and soft furnishings throughout.
The apartment is located in an historic A listed builidng (1866), originally commissioned by Queen Victoria (there is a statue of her on the roof).
On arrival you will be met by the owner who will show you how everything works in the apartment. You will receive a complimentary welcome pack.
There are many restaurants to choose from locally and the famous Castle Terrace Michelin restaurant is just next door. Edinburgh's famous Farmer's Market takes place in the street outside every Saturday morning - here you can buy a wide range of organic Scottish produce. There is also a good supermarket within a two minute walk.
